Julien Xanthopoulos - freelance golf instructor
Born in Deauville, Julien joined Barrière Deauville Golf Club in 1994, and spent the majority of his amateur career there. U-16 Champion of France 1999, Winner of the Frayssineau-Mouchy Cup 2003, Winner of the French Cup with Deauville 2003, 3rd in the European Club Team Cup with Deauville 2003, Finalist of the Gounouilhou 2004, again with Deauville, but he also played for different French amateur teams at the same time. 2005, he turned pro... New life... New name!!! From his birth name Julien Duclos-Grenet Xanthopoulos, he chose to keep only Xanthopoulos, a tribute to his adoptive grandfather. 5 years later and after 4 professional victories on the Alps Tour or at the PGA France Grand Prix in front of the big names in French golf, he retired from playing professional golf to go into coaching, having worked with renowned international and European coaches throughout his career. Coaching and sharing are now what drives him. Through his various roles, as a TV pundit for Canal+, his work on Golf+ Le Mag, tournament commentary, or presenting the L’Oeil des Pros, but also with his company JX Golf or with companies such as Jabra or Callaway, he now has one driving force: passing on his passion for golf…
