Social Pillar

Responsible Employer

The diversity of profiles enriches the Resort Barrière Lille.

Diversity is valued and each person is welcomed with enthusiasm, regardless of age, gender, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or disability. The establishment's goal is for everyone to feel integrated into their team and work environment in order to thrive on a daily basis.

Resort Barrière Lille also adapts its recruitment processes upon request to meet the needs of candidates with disabilities. The establishment values profiles that share its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and wish to contribute to its ambition of having a positive impact on society and the environment.

Safety and Customer Satisfaction

Resort Barrière Lille is committed to offering soft mobility solutions by providing electric scooters or bicycles free of charge, as well as more responsible services, such as providing Café Joyeux capsules or recycling used soaps.

To ensure an optimal experience for everyone, the teams are also trained in welcoming customers with disabilities.

A strict policy regarding compliance with safety and health rules is applied to ensure a healthy environment for customers and staff. The establishment complies with HACCP standards (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points system), hygiene training is mandatory for kitchen teams handling food, and samples are regularly taken by a specialized laboratory.

Responsible Catering

Our Chefs and their teams aspire to promote a more sustainable dining model, combining pleasure, quality, and environmental respect by offering guests local and seasonal products, as well as vegetarian dishes.

Thanks to our collaboration with Entraide Union, we promote the local economy while ensuring products of great freshness. Transgourmet assists us in selecting seasonal products, carefully chosen to meet our quality and sustainability requirements. Finally, we have the privilege of collaborating with Boucherie Lebel, known for its artisanal know-how and animal-friendly practices.

To meet customer expectations, environmental challenges, and raise awareness among teams about vegetarian cuisine, every year, Barrière chefs are invited to compete by creating a vegetarian dish. The finalists have the opportunity to present their creation to an expert jury at Fouquet’s Paris. The winning dishes (one winner for casinos and one winner for hotels) are then offered on the Group's restaurant menus during the European Sustainable Development Week. In 2023, the Chefs of Resort Barrière Lille had the opportunity to win the trophy.

Local and Cultural Anchoring

Resort Barrière Lille is actively involved with the territory in which it is located.

As part of its local development policy, Resort Barrière Lille maintains close ties with regional stakeholders, contributing to the dynamism of the economy, as well as the preservation of heritage and the promotion of culture. Resort Barrière Lille is proud to support major cultural and sports events such as Séries Mania, the Golden Jazz Trophy, and the Bois Blancs Boxing Gala. As part of our collaboration with the city of Lille, we make our theater available for about ten dates per year. In this context, the Adeact Association has already had the opportunity to organize an event there, illustrating our commitment to supporting local and cultural initiatives.

Furthermore, we have a special partnership with the Lille National Orchestra, actively participating in iconic events such as the Summer Nights Festival and the Lille Piano Festival.

The Resort is also a true showcase for art, highlighting regional artists, whether emerging or established. Regular exhibitions in our spaces feature talents such as Amaury Dubois, Christopher Lecoutre, or Nablezon, offering our visitors a unique immersive experience.

In addition, our Junior Suite Exhibition 412 transforms throughout the year into a living gallery, hosting renewed exhibitions every six months, allowing our guests to immerse themselves in the captivating universe of new artists. A great way to combine art and hospitality in a regional cultural enhancement approach.

Furthermore, numerous solidarity actions are carried out throughout the year, including food, clothing, and toy collections, organized in support of associations such as LPA de Lille, France Cancer, La Cravate Solidaire, and Soliha.
