Environment Pillar

Sustainable Building and Responsible Resource Management

The Westminster designs and adapts its infrastructure to reduce its environmental footprint while ensuring the comfort of its guests. This approach is materialized by the integration of less impactful materials, energy optimization, and continuous improvement of resource management.

Numerous initiatives are implemented to reduce water and energy consumption: automatic and intelligent management of air flows to limit heating and air conditioning, LED lighting combined with motion sensors, timers, light switches in rooms, water savers on faucets, automatic faucet activation.

During extended stays, linen is only renewed upon request, thus combining comfort and resource preservation.

The Westminster also follows a logic of harmonious integration into its environment, favoring landscape integration, preservation of existing ecosystems, and more sustainable construction practices.

Circular Economy Valorization

The principles of the circular economy apply to all professions and are accompanied by optimized waste management through a single provider, Take a Waste, specialized in comprehensive waste management, allowing to anticipate regulatory changes and ensure efficient sorting.

In our spaces, glass replaces single-use plastic and used soaps find a second life through solidarity associations, while contributing to humanitarian causes.

The Westminster also acts on its paper consumption by gradually digitizing its communication media, as well as offering its guests a digital press service, PressReader.

Transition towards a Low Carbon Trajectory

The greenhouse gas emissions of the Barrière group are gradually measured by conducting carbon assessments of its establishments. These assessments help define concrete action plans and structure an ambitious low carbon trajectory adapted to its activities.

Biodiversity Preservation

The Westminster contributes to the preservation of its ecosystem by adopting virtuous practices for local fauna and flora. This is reflected in the ecological management of green spaces. In addition, the hotel undertakes to carry out at least one action per year in favor of biodiversity.

Today, the establishment has several beehives.
