Environment pillar
Sustainable construction and responsible resource management
Carl Gustaf designs and adapts its infrastructure to reduce its environmental footprint while ensuring the comfort of its guests. Several initiatives have been implemented to reduce water and energy consumption, such as the use of LED lighting throughout the property. In addition, the garden lighting is controlled by timers or motion detectors in certain common areas.
A rainwater collection tank is used to water all of the hotel's gardens, and a drip irrigation system operates on a timed schedule. Finally, all taps in the establishment are fitted with aerators to limit water flow.
During extended stays, linen is only changed on request, combining comfort with resource conservation.

Preserving biodiversity
Le Carl Gustaf Hotel contributes to preserving its ecosystem by adopting practices that benefit local flora and fauna. This includes regular waste collection and coral restoration in the lagoon of St Barths.
Promoting the circular economy
At Le Carl Gustaf Hotel, refillable soap dispensers are used to avoid single-use plastic containers.
