Sustainable Building and Responsible Resource Management
The Hôtel du Golf Deauville designs and adapts its infrastructure to reduce its environmental footprint while ensuring the comfort of its guests. This approach is materialized by the integration of less impactful materials, energy optimization, and continuous improvement of resource management.
Numerous initiatives are already in place to reduce energy consumption, such as the deployment of the new CTS (centralized technical management) throughout the resort, the implementation of energy sub-metering in the 3 hotels to more finely control gas and electricity consumption. These sub-metering systems allow monitoring of heating, hot water, and kitchen consumption. Renewable energies now represent 50% of the Barrière group's energy contract.
Furthermore, to monitor our water consumption, flow restrictors have been installed on faucets. Also, during extended stays, linen is renewed only upon request, thus combining comfort and resource preservation.
The Hôtel du Golf Deauville also follows a logic of harmonious integration with its environment, favoring landscape integration, preservation of existing ecosystems, and more sustainable construction practices.
Circular Economy Valorization
The principles of the circular economy apply to all professions and are accompanied by optimized waste management through a single provider, Take a Waste, specialized in comprehensive waste management, allowing anticipation of regulatory developments and ensuring efficient sorting. To date, nearly 10 recycling channels are used within our 3 hotels.
In our spaces, glass replaces single-use plastic and used soaps find a second life through solidarity associations, while contributing to humanitarian causes.
The Hôtel du Golf Deauville also acts on its paper consumption by gradually digitizing its communication media, as well as offering its customers a digital press service, PressReader.
Transition to a Low Carbon Trajectory
The carbon footprint of the Barrière Le Royal, Le Normandy, and Hôtel du Golf hotels has been assessed, allowing the definition of a concrete action plan and the structuring of an ambitious low-carbon trajectory adapted to our activities. Our goal by 2030 is to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 25% compared to 2023.

The Hotel du Golf Deauville contributes to the preservation of its ecosystem by adopting virtuous practices for local fauna and flora. This is reflected in the ecological management of green spaces. In addition, the hotel is committed to carrying out at least one annual action in favor of biodiversity.
Today, the establishment houses a green domain mixing a vegetable garden offering delicious strawberries and raspberries, an aromatic garden with scents of laurel, mint, and basil, several beehives whose honey is used in the Barrière establishments of Deauville, as well as numerous birdhouses.
