The Resort Barrière Ribeauvillé designs and adapts its infrastructure to reduce its environmental footprint while ensuring the comfort of its guests. This approach is reflected in the integration of less impactful materials, energy optimization, and continuous improvement of resource management.

Numerous initiatives are deployed to reduce water and energy consumption, such as replacing the shower heads in the balneotherapy area from 30l to 15l without affecting guest comfort, timed push buttons, and adherence to the water charter. Iodine and halogen lamps replaced by LED lamps. The heating of the balneotherapy area is provided by our service provider Agrivalor through a methanization process.

During extended stays, linen renewal is done only upon request, thus combining comfort with resource conservation.

The Resort Barrière Ribeauvillé also aims for harmonious integration with its environment, promoting landscape integration, the preservation of existing ecosystems, and more sustainable construction practices.

Valorization of the circular economy

The principles of the circular economy apply to all professions and are accompanied by optimized waste management through a single provider, Take a Waste, specializing in comprehensive waste management, allowing for anticipation of regulatory changes and ensuring effective sorting.

In our spaces, glass replaces single-use plastic and used soaps are given a second life through solidarity associations, while also contributing to humanitarian causes.

The Resort Barrière Ribeauvillé also acts on its paper consumption by progressively digitalizing its communication media, as well as offering clients the digital press service PressReader.

Orientation towards a low-carbon trajectory

The greenhouse gas emissions of the Barrière group are gradually measured by conducting carbon audits of its establishments. These audits allow for the definition of concrete action plans and the structuring of an ambitious low-carbon trajectory adapted to its activities.

Preservation of biodiversity

The Resort Barrière Ribeauvillé contributes to the preservation of its ecosystem by adopting virtuous practices for the local fauna and flora. This is reflected in the ecological management of green spaces. Additionally, the hotel commits to conducting at least one annual action in favor of biodiversity.

Today, the establishment has beehives whose honey is offered to our guests on the breakfast buffet, a vegetable garden, an orchard, and insect hotels.
