At the heart of the magnificent historic estate of the Château de Lantheuil, dating from the 17th century, the descendants of the Marquis Turgot invite you to an unforgettable hunting weekend. The entire estate was classified a Historical Monument in 1931. The Louis XIII-style exterior architecture, like the Louis XV, Louis XVI, Empire and Napoleon III interior décor are authentic and were created naturally over the centuries by residents of the estate, all from the Turgot family.

The location’s history will transport you through time and call you to live in the refinement and manner of a glorious past. The forest, the fields, the park, and the gardens all contribute to the pleasure of the hunt.

The estate is specialised in the hunt of small feathered game: grey partridges, red partridges, common pheasants, Reeves’s pheasants, American pheasants, Chinese pheasants and woodcocks. The upmarket hunts welcome groups of 10 to 12 shots (alongside their guides) from Friday evenings to Monday mornings for prestigious weekends These include hunting with guns, both individually and in groups, galas in the château’s Great Library, barbecues in the forest, clay pigeon shooting, prize-giving, and more. The two personal gamekeepers are responsible for the organisation of the hunt as well as the security of the hunters. It is only natural that Barrière joins forces with the estate to provide an offer* at its five-star hotels in Deauville for an exceptional stay in Normandy.
